Expand our business with increased efficiency, circularity and responsible production

By 2030, we aim to achieve a 47% reduction in water intensity per metric ton of pulp produced, reaching 16.6 m3/adt. In 2025, we recorded an annual consumption of 19.9 m3/adt.

We are also working toward a 90% reduction in landfilled waste per metric ton of pulp produced. In 2025, we sent 33.1 kg/adt of solid waste from the industrial process to landfill.

We are pursuing a
47%
reduction in

water consumption per metric ton of pulp produced by 2030

Our goal is to recover
90%
of industrial waste

minimizing what is sent to landfills per metric ton of pulp

We are working to achieve
97%
lime and caustic soda recovery

in our operations by 2030

As part of our efforts to reduce waste from the pulp production process, we are targeting a 97% recovery rate for lime and caustic soda used in our operations by 2030. In 2025, we achieved a total of 95.8% chemical recovery of lime and soda.

Develop climate-positive operations supporting a low-carbon economy

Bracell has set a target to reduce carbon emissions per metric ton of pulp produced by 75% by 2030. In 2025, our carbon emissions per ton of product totaled 0.255 tCO₂e/adt.

As part of our climate strategy, we have set a target to remove 25 MtCO₂e between 2020 and 2030 through our eucalyptus plantations and protected native forests. Over the year, our removals totaled –6 MtCO₂e.

We are working toward a
75%
reduction

in carbon emissions per metric ton of product

In addition to our 2030 targets, we continue to invest in our operations to advance a low-carbon economy.

Our new tissue paper plant in Lençóis Paulista (São Paulo) began operations with several sustainable features. The facility includes a 50,000-square-meter solar array that generates clean, fossil fuel-free, renewable energy.

Strategically built adjacent to our pulp mill, the new facility receives raw material through pipelines, eliminating the need for truck transport and the drying stage. This setup reduces energy consumption and helps lower greenhouse gas emissions per metric ton of product manufactured.

Build regenerative systems that benefit nature, biodiversity and ecosystem services

As part of our Sustainable Landscapes and Biodiversity targets, we aim to conserve 230,000 hectares of native forest by 2030. At yearend 2025, we reached 301,000 hectares of conserved public land across the states of São Paulo, Bahia, and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Beyond land conservation, we also invest in research on biodiversity conservation. In 2025, we supported eight research projects on environmental conservation.

on environmental preservation

We are also committed to wildlife rehabilitation. By 2030, we aim to double the number of certified sites for the release of wild animals into nature. We ended 2025 with five certified release sites in the Northeast of Brazil.

Protecting forests and biodiversity is intrinsic to our business. In our forestry operations, we implement targeted strategies to protect native vegetation and biodiversity within the Caatinga, Cerrado, and Atlantic Forest biomes hosting our operations.

The proficiency improvement baseline is the 2023 weighted average proficiency (202.8), with 2023 defined as the baseline year following the launch of Bracell 2030 in October.
30% 11.38% The calculation of 2025 education target is based on the scores from the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb, in Portuguese), which considers a proficiency scale to measure learning outcomes in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. This assessment is conducted every two years by the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (Inep, in Portuguese). Due to the timing of Saeb scores releasing (after the publication of the 2025 Sustainability Report), Bracell 2030 performance for 2025 will be disclosed in the 2026 Sustainability Report. 4

Note 1: Bracell 2030 target for women in leadership considers the number of leaders working directly in the pulp business units. The scope of the women‑in‑leadership target is based on Bracell’s operations in the year of 2020, which serves as the baseline for the 2030 target. Bracell Paper operations began in 2023.
Note 2: the positive evaluation target for underrepresented groups is measured on a biennial basis. Therefore, the 2025 target remains the same as defined in the 2024 roadmap. These actions are structural, and their results will be assessed in the Diversity and Inclusion Census to be addressed in 2026. The action plan for this target will be updated based on those results.
Nota 3: the calculation of the 2025 education target is linked to the scores from the Basic Education Assessment System (SAEB, in Portuguese), which provides a proficiency scale that measures learning in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. This assessment is conducted every two years by the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (Inep, in Portuguese). The scores referring to the 2025 performance were released after the publication of this report and will be disclosed in the 2026 Sustainability Report.

Provide capacity building to our people and communities through transformational initiatives

As part of our efforts around diversity and inclusion, income generation, and public education, core areas of the Empowering Lives pillar, against the 2025 target for women in leadership positions, Bracell achieved 27.7% female representation among its own leaders, totaling 113 women in leadership roles.

Within our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) targets, we also aim to foster a more inclusive work environment for our affinity groups, with a target of achieving 90% positive feedback from these employees on respect and equity in the workplace by 2030. In 2024, the first year of implementing our Bracell 2030 roadmap, we established the baseline satisfaction levels within these groups and identified key performance indicators by which we will measure our efforts in the years ahead. The target for positive evaluation of underrepresented groups is measured on a biennial basis. Therefore, the 2025 target remains the same as defined in the 2024 roadmap. The initiatives are structural in nature, and their outcomes will be assessed through the Diversity and Inclusion census to be conducted in 2026. Based on these results, an update to the action plan will be developed.

A total of 27.7% of women in leadership positions in 2025

We have set a target to have

Our Empowering Lives targets and commitments also aim to foster women’s entrepreneurship, expand income opportunities, and strengthen public education in the communities where we operate. Our goal is for at least 60% of “impact business” projects to be led by women, reinforcing our commitment to gender equity and female leadership.

We also aim to raise the income of families involved in income-generation initiatives in priority areas by 20% by 2030.

In education, Bracell is helping to improve learning outcomes in communities with historically low academic performance. We have set a target to increase Portuguese and Math proficiency by 30% in the public schools participating in our programs.

Promoting Women’s Entrepreneurship, Education, and Income Generation

As part of the social targets in our Bracell 2030 roadmap, we have committed to promoting women’s entrepreneurshipexpanding income opportunities and strengthening public education in the regions where we operate.

In 2025, we surpassed our target to ensure that at least 60% of “impact business” projects were led by women, achieving 73%. This underscores our continued commitment to gender equity and women’s leadership (learn more about Bracell Social, our social investment platform, under GRI 203-1 Infrastructure investments and services supported).

We also aim to raise the income of families involved in income-generation initiatives in priority areas by 20% by 2030.
